Founded in 1991, Mount Construction Company, Inc., is a full-service Construction, Site Improvement and Emergency Response services provider in New Jersey and the surrounding areas. Our proactive solutions cover multiple sectors spanning transportation, utilities, roadwork, bridges, construction, as well as federal, state and local governments and related industries. As a start-to-finish single source for construction requirements, Mount Construction Company, Inc.’s complete scope of services include: bridge construction; excavation and site work; water and sewer installation; storm water management systems installation; structural concrete work; milling, paving and concrete road work; demolition work; maintenance work including concrete sawing/sealing, patching, and concrete deck repairs; and emergency construction solutions. We also provide emergency response services, such as water and sewer repairs, line stops, insertion valve wet taps, infrastructure failures and emergency clean ups. In addition, we sell topsoil, fill dirt, and backhoes/loaders.

Mount Materials, LLC opened their recycling facility in January 2010. The operation sits on thirty acres in the Keystone Industrial Port Complex in Fairless Hills, PA. Mount Materials is a full-service recycling operation taking in concrete, asphalt, fill material and any Class B materials produced by our customer base. Mount Materials is a fully permitted, fully-approved facility producing state certified PennDOT No.C2A aggregate and NJDOT DGA certified material. Other products produced on site include: Recycled Crushed Concrete; Concrete Ballast; Crushed Asphalt; Recycled Custom Blends; Recycled Commercial Sub-base; NJ I-14 Recycled Material; Quarry AASHTO #57 Size (2B); Quarry AASHTO #3 Stone; Quarry AASHTO 2A Modified; and Quarry AASHTO #1 Ballast.

Harleysville Materials, LLC is a Quarry and Asphalt Plant in the heart of Montgomery County and is one of the oldest Argillite Quarries in the area -- formerly known as the S Stone Quarry in Lower Salford Township. Today we continue the rich tradition of mining in Montgomery County and expanded our operation to include a Hot-Mix Asphalt Plant. The Quarry is ideally located to serve the Delaware Valley and all points in New Jersey.

Located at our Headquarters in Berlin, New Jersey, Bull Waste & Recycling, Inc., (BW&R) is a natural fit to round out our lines of service. We work hand-in-hand with our materials businesses to offer 20, 30 and 40 yard Roll-Off containers for residential, commercial and industrial use. Disposal Services include: bulky trash; construction/demolition debris; non-friable asbestos. Our recycling services include: asphalt and concrete; roofing shingles; brush/stumps/soil. In addition, BW&R is now offering reclamation fill.

We are currently seeking a HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR with a mechanical background to join our Quarry Facility Team in Harleysville, PA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating yard equipment (Excavator, Front End Loader, Dozer) in accordance with safety procedures, to process recycling, move materials and load dump trucks
  • Record data, report equipment malfunctions or trends which indicate possible trouble and perform actions as directed to correct abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations
  • Preventive maintenance tasks; assist with and perform equipment repair work, residue removal and MSW handling on the tipping floor
  • Become familiar with the plan and the use and care of tools, equipment and material associated with the Residue and MSW Loading Systems
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and Personal Protection Equipment requirements
  • Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma / GED is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating Front End Loader, Excavator and Dozer
  • Experience filling dump trucks with recycling facility equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to climb ladders and work in overhead positions requiring harness and safety line
  • Mechanical aptitude to use tools for repairs and maintenance
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Ability to drive a tractor trailer or operate and maintain a crusher is a plus!

We are currently seeking TRIAXLE DUMP TRUCK and ROLL-OFF DRIVERS that will drive throughout New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. Working schedules can include evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operates vehicle in accordance with Mount Materials’ rules, OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard DVIR.
  • Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service related issues to Dispatch.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Mount Materials.
  • Performs all duties as scheduled by Dispatch.
  • Assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Class B CDL required.
  • 2+ years’ experience driving Triaxle or Roll-off.
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations within last 5 years.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus.

We are currently seeking to add a CONTRACT BILLING SPECIALIST to the Mount Construction Team based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Berlin, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

The CONTRACT BILLING SPECIALIST will be responsible for generating invoices for new and recurring clients based on contracts and meeting daily, weekly and month-end deadlines. Working in conjunction with, and support for the Project Team, the Contract Billing Specialist will ensure billings and records, as well as customer satisfaction, is achieved.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Billing for new and recurring clients for contractual obligations across various locations
  • Produce and submit customers billings in accordance with contract paperwork, customer requirements, and sales and use tax regulations
  • Administer the Company’s use of customer billing portals and the completion of lien waivers as required
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in the construction industry a plus!
  • Ability to perform a detailed level of analysis and reconciliation on all documents
  • Ability to perform routine tasks with a minimal level of supervision

We are currently seeking an OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE for the following service areas: Central and South Jersey, Philadelphia area, Chester, Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

Job Summary:

The OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE is responsible for selling products from all locations and lines of businesses in the Mount Group of Companies. This includes aggregates (both construction and landscape stone), recycled products – both outbound sales and incoming products for recycling into finish products. The Outside Sales Representative will also find PA clean reclamation fill material for our facilities. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced team environment where we strive to provide our customers with the highest level of service and support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales team to uncover jobs, price jobs and pass along leads to other business groups with the Mount Group
  • Work with dispatch to ensure deliveries are on time and to accomplish daily tonnage goal
  • Gather data and actively listen to prospective and existing customers to fully understand their needs, uncover their problems, and identify product solutions
  • Grow existing accounts through introducing customers to new product offerings
  • Prospect for new customers
  • Routinely interact face-to-face with customers to foster strong relationships and maintain satisfaction
  • Work with Sales Management Team to provide business planning to reach product and sales goals
  • Work with and coordinate vendor resources to build relationships and support sales
  • Create and deliver customized solutions that provide value to customers

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Energetic and a people person
  • Must be willing and able to do daily cold calling
  • Willing to learn and develop the skills needed to sell aggregates and find recycling products
  • Will need to learn specifications for all states we work in and understand what the products are used for
  • Successful territory management and sales experience in aggregate sales preferred, however, sales experience in construction or industrial related industries will be considered
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent time management skills and ability to work unsupervised
  • Must be able to travel locally daily
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with growing existing accounts and establishing relationships
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Associate/Bachelor degree preferred
  • Candidate must have 3+ years of experience in Industrial Sales or comparable industry

We are currently seeking to add an ASSISTANT CONTROLLER to the Mount Construction Team based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Berlin, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

The ASSISTANT CONTROLLER will work in tandem with the Controller to support the financial reporting and filings necessary for the 4 separate entities that make up the Mount Group. In addition, the Assistant Controller will ensure compliance with all internal controls and regularly contribute to improving business processes/work flows and facilitate team training through implementation. The successful candidate will be a team player that demonstrates strong leadership skills and has the fortitude to maintain a positive demeanor in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with year-end and month-end closing and preparation of monthly financial statements, including accurate and complete finalization of monthly workpapers, reconciliations and analytical review.
  • Assist with sales and payroll tax filings.
  • Audit work flow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls.
  • Candidate should be familiar with a work-in-progress schedule and general construction accounting principles.
  • General knowledge of corporate taxation.
  • Assist with year-end audits by providing requested information to outside accountants.
  • Ability to assist with equipment financing applications.
  • Complete special projects on an as needed basis, including detailed financial analysis, equipment utilization indicators, project billing audits, preparing forecasts and budgets, etc.
  • Assist Controller with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in either construction or in public accounting.
  • Accounting degree.
  • Microsoft Excel a must.

We are currently seeking to add a LOWBOY / UTILITY DRIVER to the Mount Materials team to drive throughout the State of New Jersey. The Lowboy Driver position is full time and non-seasonal.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safely and efficiently operating lowboy tractor trailers moving heavy construction equipment ranging from skids to large loaders, rollers, pavers, excavators and more including driving multi-axle highway equipment with GVWR in excess of 26,001 pounds, for transporting construction materials.
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.
  • Clearly communicate with other equipment operators and truck drivers to ensure deliveries are according to the job specifications and timetables.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Class A CDL with clean MVR
  • 2-3 years’ experience driving a lowboy moving heavy equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work with others well and working knowledge of all FMCSA regulatory rules
  • Must be physically able to climb, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background, motor vehicle records check and DOT Physical
