Construction projects, by their nature, involve a potential risk for personal injury, damage to equipment, property, or possible damage to natural resources.
Recognizing that most accidents and injuries are preventable, Mount Construction Company, Inc. is committed to promoting safety awareness throughout our organization. Our Safety Education Program begins with a 30-hour OSHA Safety Training Course which all Project Managers, Field Superintendents, and Crew Foreman have to take and complete.
We continue our safety program by sponsoring supplemental safety training in Trenching, Excavation, Fall Protection, Competent Persons Training, Confined Space Training, First Aid, and CPR classes.
Our Safety Director maintains and enforces our safety protocol and works directly with loss prevention experts employed by our insurance carriers, to evaluate our program through job site visits and audits of our records. In addition, a Job Safety Analysis is completed on each project daily and aids in the planning of each project. "Toolbox Talks" are conducted at the job sites as well to ensure that our crews understand any special precautions required to complete their tasks safely.
These Job Safety Analysis worksheets are completed daily and turned into the Safety Director for review and remediation if necessary. Additionally, the Safety Director, supervisors and superintendents conduct periodic Job Site Audits to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures is being followed.
